Most of us have at least some fear of death. Our culture is obsessed with it but without a remedy. However, it's a completely different story for Believers! Pastor Wes reminded me recently that Jesus has authority over sin and death and death is our servant because we belong to Jesus. One of my listeners heard me talk about this and asked if I would have Wes on the podcast to dive deeper into this topic. I'm delighted that he agreed to do that and he's here today to help us reframe our experiences according to God's word and align our thinking about death with what Christ has transformed it into. Then one can feel that perhaps one’s true work—one’s work for God—consists in doing some trifling haphazard thing that has been thrown into one’s day. It is not a waste of time, as one is tempted to think, it is the most important part of the work of the day—the part one can best offer to God. After such a hindrance, do not rush after the planned work; trust that the time to finish it will be given sometime, and keep a quiet heart about it.” (Annie Keary, 1825-1879)
