He is a proud graduate of Winston Salem State University and does not allow his young age to stop him serving his community and taking risk when needed. More about our guest… Derwin became the youngest member of the Winston Salem, NC City Council in 2009 at the age of 21 and a pastor of First Calvary Baptist Church shortly afterwards. He is also executive director of Bethesda Center where they aim to reduce homelessness in our community by providing temporary shelter and support services.
