We chat about the newly announced XL bully ban which was announced by Minister for rural and community development Heather Humpreys last Friday and we also focus in on the immediate negative effect this is having with one local authority Dun Laoighre Rathdown County council, operating outside of the boundaries of the control of dogs act 1986 and control of dogs regulations 1998 to implement instructions to prohibit the rehoming of all restricted breed dogs. DLR council civil servants had also issued instructions outlining that these breeds were to be destroyed within 5 days if unclaimed from Dublin dog pound by their owners sparking outrage from the dog owner community in Ireland. We chat about this and hear some of your thoughts on the matter. We also chat about a great day out at Dogfest in Cork yesterday where we got to chat to some wonderful business owners and try out some of the cool activities like Agility and dock diving.
