For two decades, Jim has worked internationally with people who choose to - or have to - enter a period of rapid disruption where the outcome is not guaranteed. Performance under stress and in situations of uncertainty, risk, fear and anxiety is a key part of that work. And being able to access high quality rest and sleep is a vital skill - whether or not the day went well. The following mental skills for sleeping were developed during a disruptive time in Jim’s own life and then used to help him train for his UK freediving record.
