Welcome to week 6 of covering another corner of the clinic - Pelvic Health. Sarah Ecker, PT, DPT, PRPC, traveling PT and '11 graduate from New York University worked in the science, medicine and technology department of a publishing company in NYC when she fell in love with pelvic health. She received her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certificate (PRPC) from the Herman and Wallace Institute. In 2016, Sarah discovered STAND, eagerly volunteered for a 2-week trip, and instantly fell in love with the project, the people of Haiti, and the amazing co-founders of the organization. Immediately recognizable to Sarah on her premier trip was the lack of care surrounding the various changes across the lifespan of women, namely encompassing obstetrics and gynecological care. Join Sarah as she discusses her journey educating families and working with cultural variations (yes, this includes Voodoo!). Trust me, she will convince you to be a STAND-Lifer.
