The U.S. ambassador to Lithuania H. E. Robert S. Gilchrist moved to Lithuania just before the start of coronavirus pandemic. In this special episode, we discuss his impressions on Lithuania, diplomacy during the pandemic, and the unique history of Sumner Welles declaration. “There is a tremendous amount of potential in Lithuania in so many ways. And certainly, before this COVID crisis, the Lithuanian economy was gaining quite a bit of steam again, and people begin talking about the Baltic Tigers again with Lithuania really in a leadership position on that” says the Ambassador.
