Now that summer is upon us, Lallenmand Animal Nutrition has developed a tool to predict the negative impact that heat stress has on milk yield and milk quality.The web-based tool can forecast potential heat stress-related production losses giving producers the ability to adjust preventitive programs to avoid the negative effects of heat stress. “Use-by” dates printed on milk cartons could become a thing of the past as consumers reach to embrace QR codes for more accurate information. Research from Cornell University found consumers will use QR codes to see how long milk is drinkable, a development that could help cut food wast. Need your ice cream fix, but don’t to get out in the heat? Well, Unilever has announced the Ice Cream Shop a partnership with Flytrext to bring ice cream through the sky to your doorstep using drones. When it launches, you could have your ice cream as quickly as three minutes.
