What's up, dudes? Thanks for tuning in to Stripcast: True Stories From a Stripper With a PhD. Happy New Year! I get a lot of questions about my relationship with my husband. Frankly, I keep this aspect of my life private, but today I'm going to let you in on some of the most private shit I've ever shared. Before we became a family, before we even became a couple, my husband and I were great friends who engaged in an illicit affair. We fell in love six weeks before we were slated to say good-bye forever. At the end of this six weeks, I was scheduled to go to Atlanta alone to get my PhD. He was on the docket to move up north to live with his real girlfriend. The last night we were to ever see each other, we were sobbing through this horrible forever-goodbye, and right before he walked out the door, I gave him an envelope full of love and shame and said: I wrote all of these beautiful things about you.
