ぶんぶく茶釜

人々に福を分け与える茶釜というので、分福茶釜と書き、江戸時代の赤本になって親しまれて来ました。昔、茂林寺でたくさんの人たちが集まったので、お茶を出そうとしましたが、茶釜が足りなくて困りました。すると、和尚さんが一つの立派な茶釜を持って来て「これは八つの服を授ける茶釜、それで分福茶釜と言う」と説明したと言います。茂林寺には、狸にあやかって八百八の狸の置物が奉納されています。
