No you weren't wrong. We do need to have sensitive convos with our kids that provide them with information that they will need as they grow. But what a lot of experts miss is that to have these kinds of convos we need to establish and have nurtured a connection with our kid. The same connection we had with them as babies isn't the exact same one they need now. So in learning new skills & strategies, we can grow with them and maintain our connections.
