SOA170: Its the market, stupid! (EP #52)

This week I am going to be in Las Vegas for the amazing event so please enjoy this encore addition of Selling on Azon radio. Earlier today I was listening to a podcast form another Amazon seller and he was talking about how he no longer creates products based off of what the market wants. He creates them based off of what he wants and I am calling BS on this advice look this guy is extremely successful Amazon seller with a million dollar business but I guarantee you when he started out he did not build his business based off what he wanted. He looked at the market to see what they wanted to buy you must always, always, always focus on what the market wants to buy and not what you want to sell. Now that doesn't mean that you have to be carbon copy of your competition and just knock off their products. You can still differentiate your product by having say a better offer and when I say a better offer I don't mean a lower price I mean a better value for the customer or you can differentiate through your marketing or even through your packaging as Jack Logory revealed in Episode no. 32.
