By reducing firefighters’ exposure risks, encouraging regular cancer screenings and providing education, navigation and support, the Firefighters Cancer Collaborative aims to change that and save more lives. Richard Brown, MD, Medical Director for the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute at SMH, and Town of Longboat Key Fire Chief Paul Dezzi, explain the collaborative's mission and discuss the successes so far.
