Dear Sam, I was dating and living with my boyfriend for 2 years, we have 1 child together. While he was finishing up school and getting his life together, I have been holding us down financially. Like any relationship we had our arguments about life, I surely didn’t think it was anything that we would end up breaking up about. But he has now graduated, started a new job and says he is happy but says we just don’t click. He says that he can’t take the arguing we do. I had bought him a car that is paid for, but he wants to leave so I told him I’m cool with that but he can’t have the car (it’s in my name). His mother called me saying that I’m wrong, how is he supposed to get to work. But I said if he wants out the relationship he wants out the perks. She said what I’m doing is the same as if she were to say she would no longer baby sit for me while I’m working and what not. Am I wrong? How should I handle this?
