The Facebook/Cambridge Analytica Scandal

In this interview, we ask Brown University's Executive Master in Cybersecurity faculty member, Deborah Hurley, how the Facebook Cambridge Analytica scandal should be viewed from the perspective of laws in the US and beyond. Based on the current facts, Hurley tells us, Facebook probably wouldn’t be liable for violating personal data and privacy protections of the American Facebook users. But, in a world where users and their data are global, US laws aren’t the only ones Facebook needs to worry about.
