Her first book proxy , was published by belladonna* in 2013 and was a recipient of the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America and a Lambda Literary Awards Finalist. Her work appears in various journals and anthologies including Best American Poetry, Our Caribbean, Bum Rush the Page, Ploughshares, Callaloo, and Sinister Wisdom . Erica received her M.F.A. in Poetry from The New School, and lives in New York City, where she is an administrator in the NYC public schools and facilitates Tongues Afire: A Free Creative Writing Workshop for queer women and trans and gender non-conforming people of color.
