If it wasn't for sex, none of us would be here. Why does so much of society stigmatise people who do sex for a living? We catch up with Tilly Lawless; a Queer writer, sex worker & activist from Sydney who gives us some insight into her life as a Queer sex worker, the "Whorearchy" and what we as a community can do to support sex workers. We'll leave you with Tilly's words from a piece she wrote for Oyster Mag; "So when people question why I do it — what I fuck coked-up men at three in the morning for — and how I can be happy doing it; how I can not come to value myself less when I charge, I think of the fact there is a large wedge between me and struggle. That unlike a lot of queer women I am financially stable — endlessly grateful to be so aware of how lucky I am; I know that my whiteness and class have given me a massive head start. And no, someone else's idea of 'self respect' will never be of greater value to me than paying rent." PS. We bid farewell to Cyrus as he embarks on travel for a few months and welcome Ruth excitedly as a new Queeriosity host. Until next time xo
