DEEP WORK "Deep Calls Unto Deep" Ash Wednesday Service

We live in a shallow world with quick answers, constant motion, and noise both inside and out. Lent calls us deeper--beneath distraction, beneath habit, beneath self. In the Old Testament, God often led His people into deep work confronting what was broken, healing what was hidden, and shaping His people for wholeness. This Lent, we enter that same journey and allow God to go beneath our surface to connect us more to our Divine Design. We begin the Lent Season with a special Ash Wednesday Sermon. Pastor Karla leads us into the Lenten Season by asking us to examine in ourselves the feelings that are similar to those found in the writier of Psalm 42. Why are you downcast oh my soul? At the depths is the feeling of being overwhelmed. Yet, whatever the depths of God, is the appeal to the corresponding depths in us.
