I paneldiskusjonen vil eksperter fra ulike fagdisipliner belyse middelaldersamlingene som ble bygget opp av Bergens Museum (i dag Universitetsmuseet i Bergen), og som Spesialsamlingene ved Universitetsbiblioteket nå forvalter. Deltakere er professor emerita i norrøn filologi Else Mundal, professor i arkeologi Alf Tore Hommedal, professor i middelalderlatin Åslaug Ommundsen, professor i historie Kirsi Salonen, professor i kunsthistorie Justin Kroesen og faglig leder for Språksamlingane ved Spesialsamlingene Peder Gammeltoft. Panelkoordinator er Alexandros Tsakos, faglig leder for Manuskript- og librarsamlingen ved Universitetsbiblioteket i Bergen. Paneldiskusjonen er en del av Universitetsbibliotekets dag i Middelalderuken 2025, hvor det overordnede temaet er Universitetet i Bergens 200-årsjubileum.
