Questions About This Episode

What is #9 Learning empathy from human rights activist and rescue swimmer Sarah Mardini about?

We’re more than happy to release our PxP Podcast in English for the first time and welcome all of our English-speaking friends to listen and join the conversation! An empathetic person has the ability to understand and share other people’s emotions and experiences. That’s why for this episode, we’ve invited a young woman who clearly stands out with her empathy because of her story as a refugee and her humanitarian work. Although she is currently facing trial in Greece for charges like human trafficking, she agreed to be interviewed for our podcast. Sarah Mardini is a human rights activist, a professionally trained Search & Rescue Swimmer who has saved hundreds of lives in the mediterranean sea, she’s a sought after international speaker & panelist, winner of the prestigious German BAMBI Award, a young woman who had to flee from her war torn country Syria. For us, this was probably the most moving and inspiring episode we’ve recorded, yet. Listen and learn: · Why everybody should know how to swim · How life is growing up as a female swimmer in a Middle-Easter country · How the hate she was facing while fleeing was tougher to handle than jumping from a sinking boat · About her pain and the gratitude she has for being able to help other people · Where in the world she is taking all the strength and courage from · What she thinks society needs to develop more empathy What do you think? How can we learn to be more empathetic? Leave your comment on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn or e-mail us your questions or suggestions: hello@pxp.one The future is now! Learning is key. Learning is free. BE A PEACE OF IT! Was denkt ihr?
