Portugal and France set up Quarter-Final showdown

Portugal and France will face each other in the Quarter-Finals of EURO 2024 after both came through their Round of 16 ties in dramatic fashion. France left it late against Belgium, as Jan Vertonghen’s own-goal was the difference between the two nations. Later, the first match of the tournament to go to extra time saw Jan Oblak save a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty, but it was Portugal who ultimately prevailed in the penalty shootout thanks to the heroics of their own goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
