In this episode, Emma Jane Joyce, Senior Business Manager – Sustainability and Climate Action, speaks with Mark Merrigan, Head of Bond Products and Documentation in the NTMA’s Funding and Debt Management Unit, about Ireland’s Sovereign Green Bond Programme. They discuss the nature of sovereign green bonds and how they differ from regular government bonds and how the market has developed over the years since the NTMA first issued green bonds in 2018. They also discuss the recent launch of the 2021 Allocation Report and the 2020 Impact Reports, both of which are available on the NTMA’s website.
