For-Profit companies Lyft and Mastercard deliver 1Million meals through nonprofit partners The COVID-19 pandemic leads to new alliances between the for-profit and non-profit sectors: To meet the needs of growing food insecurity in the U.S., Lyft and Mastercard announced to deliver one million healthy meals. Especially targeted are low-income families and seniors in communities of color. The article quotes a recent analysis by the Candid Foundation estimates that between 11% and 38% of nonprofits across the US will fail in the next 3 years.
