Peter J. Wallison, AEI Peter Wallison is the Arthur F. Burns Chair in Financial Market Studies and co-director of American Enterprise Institute’s program on financial market de-regulation. Prior to joining AEI, he practices banking, corporate, and financial law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Washington, DC and New York. He has held a number of government positions including, general counsel to the Treasury Department under Ronald Reagan, White House counsel to Ronald Reagan, and counsel to Nelson A. Rockefeller when he served as both New York governor and Vice President.
