Phil Diamond is Professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester and Director of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics.In his lecture he touches on some of the practical, political, technical, financial and organisational challenges faced by the teams who developed Jodrell Bank and built e-MERLIN.
