Long Islanders Reflect on Jesse Jackson’s Legacy of Hope, Unity, and Progress As the nation honors Jesse Jackson, Long Islanders are reflecting on how his message of unity, equality, and civic engagement continues to influence leaders and communities across the region. Long Island Community Shows Its Heart for Young Neighbor in Need Residents gathered in Rocky Point for a blood drive supporting 8-year-old Jackson Wyder, demonstrating once again how Long Islanders rally around their own in times of need. Spay-Ghetti Dinner Returns to Support Lifesaving Programs at Southampton Animal Shelter The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is hosting its annual Spay-Ghetti Dinner on March 7th from 6:00–9:00 PM at the Southampton Inn, with proceeds benefiting its Trap, Neuter, Return program and other lifesaving initiatives. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door, and $20 for children 12 and under, and are available at SASF.org under the Events section.
