Last week, Ami and I were invited to speak at TEDxBismarck on the topic of managing a family and business when your family is the business. If you don't know what a TED Talk is; It is a conference bringing together visionaries and experts to discuss topics of interests within their industry. This was the first time both Ami and I were invited to speak together and of course, we flew with the entire family to North Dakota. We spoke about the keys to building a family while you work together and the importance of defining your specific roles in the family and the business.
