Today we spoke to Scott Kravetz, Certified renovation loan officer with Caliber Home Loans. Renovation loans are available to owner occupant, second home, and investor buyers. These loans include the cost of home repairs and upgrades into the loan purchase. Sellers can increase the pool of buyers they market to by accepting this type of financing because some cosmetic, updating, and insurance repairs needed can be completed by the buyer after closing.
