355: Northeast Arts KC Prepares for 3rd Annual Open Studio Tour

On this week’s Northeast Newscast, Julia Williams is joined in the studio with local artist, owner of Back Door Pottery and Northeast Arts KC Treasurer, Rebecca Koop to introduce a new segment — highlighting preparations for Northeast Arts KC’s third annual Open Studio Tour this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday Dec. 7 and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8. For this first episode, Koop will discuss the history of Open Studio in Northeast Kansas City and highlight this year’s featured artists and locations. The second episode will introduce two of this year’s Open Studio artists who will have their work displayed at the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s EGG space (2659 Independence Ave) throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for a map of this year's locations and artists, which will be available in-person at the EGG and online at and .
