Science, Technology & Innovation in New Jersey with Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker

This week on Jersey XYZ, Stathis Theodoropoulos chats with Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker on how New Jersey will usher in a new era for science, innovation, and technology. Assemblyman Zwicker who represents the 16th legislative district in NJ, Chair of the newly created Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee, and Head of Science Education at the Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory, talks about this new vision on an innovation economy we are building towards. We start the conversation on where his committee is starting their work and what he hopes his committee can do to lay down the foundation for this new era. We then chat bout what problems New Jersey faces and how investment in innovation can solve those issues. Later on in the show we talk about we can create a diverse pool of scientists that is as diverse as our state, and how can make sure research that is created helps address economic and social justice issues in our communities. We finish the conversation on what the state of science is in the US and what issues we need to address urgently.
