#2/20 Fairhurst's deliveries during lockdown

Fairhursts catering has, like many other businesses,been hit by the current lockdown. They have been in the business of providing delicious food since the 80's and specialise in catering for events and weddings. Working out from their kitchen in Swinithwaite, in Wensleydale, they would usually be busy serving teas and catering for weddings at Bolton Castle as well as running their popular farmshop and cafe at Berrys. This year was projected to be one of their best so far with over 30 weddings and most weekends booked, however no one could have predicted the situation we all currently find ourselves in. So what to do? They began providing locals in isolation with free delivery of their delicious ready cooked meals, not realising how popular this service would become. They have had to totally change the way they are operating and now, what began as a small venture, has blossomed into a busy service with around 400 scrumptious meals wending their way weekly to grateful recipients. The dales are quiet at the moment, restaurants,cafes and pubs are closed.
