26: I'm Engaged!

Hey Guys! I have been doing the Hey Bride podcast for almost 2 years. I have always loved weddings and enjoy every single engagement/wedding story but today's is my favorite: Mine! My man proposed on Friday, February 12th, our 11th month anniversary. He invited me for an anniversar/valentine's dinner and wanted to show me a new place in DC (he is always showing me new parts of the city). This time, was a beautiful spot near the Dominican Embassy that has the best view: The Spanish Steps. When there he started talking about us, and seriously I can barely remember what he said. (The best parts I'm keeping to myself). I guess at some point he asked me to be his wife, but all I remember is him kneeled down and a bling in my face. My first reaction was to kiss him! And he said: So... is that a yes!? Of course!!!!!!!! After, our families came out of the steps cheering. So exciting! My mom was supposed to be in Miami, my friend in NY... all there. After dinner with the family, he had a surprise party at his place... even more emotions. So, my soon to be sister in law decided to join me in the podcast to talk about the first thoughts after being engaged. Did you just get engaged? I would love to know your first thoughts, the first things you did, and how the process is going.
