What five foods live up to they hype for improved health? Avocados. They have good fats that may combat triglycerides. Their fiber content is high. Half of an avocado provides 4.5 to 5.5 grams of fiber. Americans should get 40 to 50 grams of fiber per day, but most only get 10 to 15 grams of fiber per day. Avocados also good for the eyes, cardiovascular support, and digestion. Peel off the skin instead of scooping the flesh out with a spoon to get the most nutrients. Coconuts. They have a high percentage of saturated fat that can be antimictrobial and good for cell membranes. Coconut oil can improve memory and cognition.
