HealthCetera producer and host, Dr. Diana Mason, RN, spoke about this with Dr. Catherine Dodd, RN, former chair of the National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare. She also served as the chief of staff for representative Nancy Pelosi’s home office for a number of years, was a regional director for Health and Human Services under President Clinton, and is a core member of Nurses for America, an organization of nurses and other health professionals concerned about health equity, social justice, and other issues affecting the health of the nation.
