They discuss the history of mistrust around medical research — especially among minority communities — and what scientists and institutions can do to change it. Sotto is an associate professor of medicine at the IU School of Medicine; director of All IN for Health and co-director of workforce development at the Indiana CTSI; and health equity lead in the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement.
