He is involved in a number of Open Source projects and he co-maintains Git for Windows with Sebastian Schuberth, Pat Thoyts and Erik Faye-Lund. He is from Germany, but currently lives in the Mid-West of the US. Note: We briefly discussed libgit2 being licensed as BSD.
