We would love to hear from you. Click here and let us know what you thought of this episode. What an enlightening conversation I had with Dr. Houston about her new book. Dr. Tawainna Houston , ND, MDiv, a culturally rooted naturopathic physician, educator, and the founder of Black CELL Consulting, has dedicated her life’s work to addressing the historical, systemic, and biological contributors to chronic illness in Black communities. With over two decades of combined experience as a licensed naturopathic physician, she brings it together with the disciplines of social science, counseling, and cultural wellness creating a holistic lens towards health equity. Available in both paperback and digital formats, the book offers a profound exploration of the structural forces that continue to shape the health and wellness of Black Americans. It is both a diagnosis and a call to action urging readers to restore balance through truth, cultural awareness and community-centered healing. About the Author Dr. Tawainna Houston, Naturopathic Doctor and Founder & CEO of Black CELL Consulting , is a culturally-rooted provider and wellness strategist who empowers the Black community through culturally responsive health education and holistic care.
