Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, he spent the first decade of his career as a high school English teacher and Head Football Coach. He also spent two deeply impactful years working as a program director in an urban Alternative School. Ben is a avid reader and study of leadership and organizational psychology, and has spoken at conferences and professional developments on a variety of topics such as: "Leadership in Athletics; Empowering Your Players", "Making the Transition to Administration; A Practical Guide of What to Expect in Your First Year" and "Three Behavioral Psychology Studies that Benefit Educational Leadership".
