Pastor Blaine explains how the gospel makes it possible for believers to live free from condemnation. Because humanity could not keep God's law, weakened by sin, God sent Jesus in human flesh to accomplish what we could not. Through Christ's death and resurrection, the penalty for sin is fully paid and the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled for those who trust in Him. Blaine emphasizes that the heart of the gospel is substitutionary atonement—Jesus lived the perfect life we failed to live and died the death we deserved, taking our place under God's judgment. As a result, believers are not only declared righteous but are also given the Holy Spirit, who empowers them to live a new life that honors God.
