Rosemarie Nitribitt setzt ihren Körper schon früh ein. Bereits mit 13 Jahren soll sie sich Soldaten angeboten haben. In dem Dorf, in dem sie lebt, kann niemand etwas mit dem Mädchen anfangen. Und so beginnt für Rosemarie eine rastlose Irrfahrt durch Erziehungsheime, Besserungsanstalten und Klapsmühlen - aber niemand kann sie lange halten. Denn das Mädchen hat ein Ziel fest vor Augen und davon lässt sie nicht ab. Koste es, was es wolle. Auch wenn sie dafür immer wieder eingesperrt wird.
