He covers attitudes and objectives of students in an introductory level class, format of lectures, presentation techniques, preparation, evaluation and teaching tools and the nature of statistical analysis in social science. The talk was given as part of a workshop in September 2012 at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford, for the QMteachers project Bill Jacoby is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University and Director of the ICPSR (Michigan) Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research.
