The talk was given as part of a workshop in June 2012 at the Department of Sociology, University of Oxford, for the QMteachers project Alan Agresti is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Florida. He has written more than 100 articles and six books, including Categorical Data Analysis, which has received more than 12,000 citations in journal articles, and Statistical Methods for the Social Sciences (with Barbara Finlay), an introductory textbook for undergraduate or graduate students
