Op tweede kerstdag 2002 wordt een 36-jarige tennisleraar ‘s ochtends dood gevonden in zijn appartement. Hij is vermoord. Twintig rechercheurs worden op de zaak gezet. Vijftien jaar later is de moord op Patrick van der Bolt nog steeds niet opgelost. Sanne Boer duikt in het leven van Patrick en ontdekt dat niets is wat het lijkt.
