Today's Devotion is "When God Gives Us Lemons" Today's Scripture Reading is from Isaiah 26:4: "Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." So often we hear the familiar phrase, "turn your lemons into lemonade." This phrase means that when things go wrong in life, we should take the bad parts and make the best out of the situation. In other words, we should take our sour lemons and make sweet lemonade. If we are open to learning and to living life to the fullest, we will find that oftentimes life is never as bad as we think it is. Optimism on the inside always trumps pessimism that may exist on the outside. But what do we do when God gives us lemons? No, God doesn't give lemons? Oh, yes He does. God's lemons can come in the form of sickness, financial difficulty, family issues, loss, heartbreak, and even death.
