So Close to Victory (FFTJ #28)

Today's Devotion is "So Close to Victory" Today's Scripture Reading is from Philippians 3:14: "I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward." I haven’t lived very long, but one thing I have learned in life is that whenever things seem difficult and mountains seem just a bit to steep to climb in life, that is the moment you can be certain you are very close to victory. Whenever negative thoughts enter your mind or the devil begins to talk to you and tell you ‘you can’t do it’, ‘you’re not good enough’, or ‘that will never happen for you’, that is not the time to give up. That is not the time to throw in the towel. That is not the time to run to an easy route. That is the time to believe God and press on toward the goal because you are already so close to victory. You see, God wants each and every one of us to succeed. That is His will for us. Jesus Christ ran the ultimate race, He climbed the steepest mountain, He overcame the greatest obstacle. Since Jesus Christ is living in us, we can do the exact same thing.
