509. Protecting My Peace - Day 94 - Love Yourself More Than You Love Other People

Do you know that when we love ourselves more than we love other people, we can be much more present for others? I now know how true that is, but I had to learn it the hard way. You see, I used to put myself last and now I don't do that anymore. It didn't serve me well when I showed up for everyone else except myself, just to do "what was right", to be the "good girl", or the team-player. Now, I know better and I know that when I am everything to myself, I can be much more for others. We all can. I'm not saying, love ourselves so much that we don't love or help others. I'm just saying it's ok to put ourselves first in a positive way and ensure we are taking care ourselves. When we nourish ourselves, we can be much more productive and healthy for others. It's about thinking higher of ourselves and not putting others ahead of our lives.
