Paul Minx - whose plays include The Long Road South which played at the King's Head Theatre with Imogen Stubbs and Michael Brandon and See How Beautiful I Am at the Bush Theatre - has a new play in town. The Dog Walker makes its London premiere at the Jermyn Street Theatre this week with a fantastic cast of Victoria Yeates, seen on the small screen in Call the Midwife and on the big screen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and beside her onstage is Andrew Dennis who we say at The National Theatre in One Man, Two Guvnors. The story is that of Herbert Doakes, a professional dog walker who encounters Keri, a dog owner in an empty-ouzo-bottle-ridden flat, with no sign of a dog. Paul Minx's story of finding connection in the big city is as moving as it is funny, proving that hope springs in the most unlikely situations.
