Mayor Jerry Acchione was elected Mayor in 2022, after serving on Woodstock City Council since 2014. Jerry has long been a passionate advocate for the City of Woodstock. He is an active member of the community and has proudly supported hundreds of organizations and events over the years as a volunteer coach, member of the Woodstock Lions Club and OPP Auxiliary. Growing up in a close-knit Italian family, Jerry’s family means everything to him. The oldest of five children, he was raised in a supportive and loving household by his single mom, Bonnie. Jerry is the proud father of two daughters, Katelyn and Madison and grandfather to Waverly Rose. Jerry and his wife Sarah share their home with their rescue dog Dexter. Like many communities, Woodstock is seeing an increase in people affected by homelessness, addictions and mental health. The City of Woodstock has taken a number of actions to help improve the community’s well-being and ensure everyone has access to the care and support they need.
