One of the best things about class reunions is that they bring together long-lost friends. That happened over the weekend when the Class of 2001 gathered for our 20th high school reunion. It was beautiful to see people reconnect with their friends from long ago, not unlike what you've been hearing over the course of this podcast. In this week's episode of "Class Reunion: The Podcast," you'll get to hear one of these long-lost friend reunions. This week's guest is Abby Byers, who was my best friend in high school before we had a falling out when we went to college. (In short: I ghosted her.) Abby and I saw each other at our 10th reunion -- and we had a great time together over the weekend -- but this conversation from earlier this year was our first in-depth conversation about the break-up and our lives in the 20 years since we last drove around Aurora blasting country music or the "Cats" soundtrack. Abby is a rockstar mom, scientist and certified yoga teacher with two kids in St. Joseph, Missouri, just outside Kansas City. And I'm happy to call her my friend again. She's active in her local Junior League, which is why this week, the donation on behalf of " Class Reunion: The Podcast " will go to the Junior League of St. Joseph’s Hope Totes program, which distributes bags with necessities to kids who are sent to shelters and foster homes. This week's episode is sponsored by Bill Baker, an Allstate insurance rep in Aurora, Missouri who is a leader in the community and saw value in this this project. Thanks for the support, Bill.
