JOURNAL What is my usual response/behavior when I am frustrated? MEDITATE “If you don't feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because you have drunk deeply and are satisfied. It is because you have nibbled so long at the table of the world. Your soul is stuffed with small things, and there is no room for the great.” - John Piper, A Hunger for God. “Fasting might be the best way for many of us to seal the moment; fasting for a day might be what we most need to change our own pathetic passivity in the face of famine.” - Scot McKnight, Fasting. “God is not merely concerned with what we do but why we do it. A right act may be robbed of all its value in the sight of God if it is done with a wrong motive.” - Arthur Wallis, God’s Chosen Fast. PRAY - Ask God to reshape your heart so that you desire the same things God desires.
