Sometimes you make a video game, and it just stands there on its own, a lone wolf. As you gaze at the screen, it gazes back. “What more could you possibly want from me?” It seems to ask. “I’m already flawless in my execution, flowing endlessly with replay value by sheer virtue of my goodness. When there are no games left on your shelf and no shelves left in your home, even then I will stand tall.” Other times, it just isn’t profitable to make a follow-up. There are a variety of scenarios.
